The PINK Edit - the perfect dresses for those 'blushing' Brides

Want to sway from the traditional white/ivory? Want something a little more fun, a little more feminine? Are you ready to disappoint your Mum? Just kidding about that one! But getting a pink wedding dress for your big day can be a big deal to some people. In the year of the Barbie Movie why not choose a pink wedding gown?

Firstly - the WOW factor. Imagine the look on all of your guests faces when you walk down the aisle and they see you in the most beautiful pink gown! Whether it's a good wow or a bad wow - it's still a wow right?

Secondly - Styling. Visualise the flowers, the décor, the wedding party. Pink is such a great colour to match with because no matter what you choose - it will go. Pick softer colours like whites and creams to soften the look or lean into the brighter "fun" colours like bold pinks, yellows and even blues to really offset the pink of the dress.

Thirdly - Why not? It's your day!

Fourthly - Maybe your obsessed P!nk. In this case I may judge a little but if it done tastefully I may let it slide.

Pink wedding dresses definitely come and go as with all wedding dress trends. In the upcoming 2024 season we are seeing another resurgence of pastel coloured gowns which means they will be a little more readily available to try on in your fittings. If you do have your heart set on a pink gown - make sure to call ahead of your fittings to make sure that the boutiques have them available or at least the dresses that are able to be ordered in your perfect shade.

Now onto our inspiration! I have put together the perfect pink list from everything to different budgets, silhouettes and styles. Surely there is something for everyone.

Elestren by NICOLE MILANO COLET

If you are wanting a gown that is pink but is also serving whimsical fairy princess then look no further than this beauty by Nicole Colet from her 2024 collection. An excruciatingly feminine dress which features soft, floaty tulle in an princess style, ruched bodice and the most darling floral off shoulder sleeves giving it an ultra romantic feel. The soft buttery pink of this gown creates such a soft and feminine look.

Keaton by MADI LANE

Now, if you feel the way I do..then if you're going to do pink then DO PINK!! I don't think you can get much more pink if you tried than with this stunner from Madi Lane. You want attention? You got it. You want princess satin ballgown? You got it. You want structure? You got it. You want pockets? Of course you want pockets and of course this gown has it. This gown is so good that it even comes with it's own veil! (and for my other brides..yes it comes in ivory but it also comes in black!). This beautiful gown is priced from $2,449.

Piacere by AJE

We're all going to have to trust me on this one okay? Please use your imagination and visualise with me. It's your cool, party style, carefree elopement day with your closest friends at a sweet little rooftop bar in the city. And you walk down the aisle in THIS. Look, this one is absolutely not for everyone but god I would love to see this! The ruffles, the bow and THAT COLOUR! Such a great alternative to a traditional gown and definitely for someone who is wanting that "party IT girl" look. Plus, you can wear this again!

Nantucket by ANNE BARGE

Okay okay back to the serious wedding gowns. Blush, class, elegance all comes together this this exquisite wedding gown from Anne Barge. This barley-there-blush colour is just so god damn beautiful and dreamy! I love the exposed corsetry as it adds a little something to what is otherwise a classic ball gown. The bow belt detail is just the cutest thing in the world. I would LOVE this gown on a big estate wedding, garden wedding or even a really swanky hotel reception.

Aubrey by ANGELA MARCUCCIO

This one is for my brides who like a little bit extra! Aubrey by the fabulous Angela Marcuccio is covered in pink crystal embellishments, pink dainty chiffon flowers, pink lace flowers and pink pearl beading...oh and the whole dress is in pink did you notice? The billowy sleeves and the fishtail shape really ties this gown all together. Such a unique gown for the bride who doesn't mind all of the details possible rolled into one!

Neptuna by PRONOVIAS

I'm in love and so should you be! Look at the details on this beautiful gown by Pronovias (a little unexpected from them but I'm into it). The soft pink, the flowy silhouette and the pink floral embroidery. With such a girly, dainty dress it's really set off by the sexiness of the V neck and the semi sheerness. The sleeves are adorable but can be removed for that "second look" or if you're sick of dragging them through your dinner.

Palm Haze by RUE DE SEINE

Am I scaring you with all these pink gowns? Would you like something a little more tame but still a little nod to pink? Look no further than Palm Haze! The beautiful, simplistic shape of this dress will just skim over your curves in the most effortless and delicious way. A modern gown that starts off in a crisp ivory and fades down into a gorgeous pink colour to the edge of the train. This gown would be perfect for the modern bride wanting that clean cut look but wants to have a little fun with it.

Now maybe you don't want to commit to a full pink or slightly pink wedding gown and that is absolutely fine! But, have you considered adding other pink elements?

Pink accessories are the perfect addition to any wedding dress for anyone wanting to create a personalised and unique look. This could include a fun pink veil (not the hens party type!), a pink cape/coat or even a killer pink shoe to show for the perfect photo op!

Veil:Meadow Sweet / Cape: Nicole and Felicia / Shoe: Wittner

With so many shades, variations, hues and styles - there surely has to be a pink dress out there for everyone! 2024 could be your year to really embrace yourself, let go of the wedding dress "norms" and do whatever you want and if that is a pink wedding dress with a pink veil and pink shoes with pink bridesmaids and pink flowers - so be it!!
